Grand Ayatollah Shirazi calls for the revival of this year’s Arbaeen to be greater than past years, warning against letting down the Husseini cause

The Supreme Religious Authority, His Eminence Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, has called for the revival of this year’s Arbaeen to be greater than past years, warning against abandoning, letting down or any negative standpoint towards the Husseini cause.

His Eminence said in his speech to a crowd of preachers in his house in the holy city of Qom, “On the occasion of the blessed month of Muharram, I extend my condolences to the Imam of Our Time, may Allah hasten his reappearance, so that the whole world can be saved from calamities with the grace of the Almighty. I also extend my condolences to all the believers and I hope that everyone revives the blessed Husseini rituals.”  

He added that the months of Muharram and Safar are the best opportunity to disseminate the Husseini cause to the world as it is a responsibility of all. In addition to the Husseini rituals, which this year will be greater, stressing that Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, is a divine test.

In regards to Arbaeen, His Eminence stressed that everyone should preserve it by any means, warning that there is a negative standpoint towards the blessed Husseini cause.

The Grand Ayatollah called for the endeavor to revive this year’s Arbaeen in a greater way than past years, as well as striving for the youth to have the largest share in the revival of this ritual.
