20,000 copies of Holy Quran front cover picture to be carried during annual Hussein march in London

The Imam Hussein Holy Shrine has announced that 20,000 copies of the front cover picture of the Holy Quran and a 120-meter-long Hussein banner will be present during the Annual Husseini March that will be launched on the Tenth of Muharram in the British Capital, London.

The Deputy Secretary-General of Imam Hussein Holy Shrine, Alaa Dia al-Deen, said in a statement received by Shia Waves that, “

20,000 copies of the front page picture of the Holy Quran have arrived at Heathrow Airport in London.”

He elaborated that, “These pictures will be distributed to the believers in the form of a necklace that can be worn during the Muharram March in London, in response to the recent burning of the Holy Quran by an Islamophobe in Sweden.”

Dia al-Deen added that, “People from different denominations, faiths and nationalities will participate in the Husseini March to recall the tragedy of the Master of Martyrs and to express their rejection and condemnation of any attempts that aim at defiling religious symbols.”

He concluded that, “the participants will be carrying pictures of the holy tombs of Imam Hussein and Abu Al-Fadl Al-Abbas, which arouses the non-Muslim participants to ask to know more about them.”
