Mesbah Al-Hussein Foundation digs well to deliver water to Afghan Shia families

The Karbala-based Mesbah Al-Hussein Foundation for Relief and Development has responded to the calls of Afghan Shia families who are in dire need of fresh water in their residential areas.

The Foundation’s administration said in a statement to Shia Waves Agency that, “The office of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi in Afghanistan receives many requests from disadvantaged families who urgently need access to fresh water.”

The administration explained that its employees had dug many wells to deliver water to needy people, the last of which was dug recently with a 3000-liter concrete water storage tank.

It added that the well was dug in Sayyeda Fatima al-Zahra Mosque in Mazar-i-Sharif in partnership with the international Imam Hussein Charity (IHC).
