Imam Ali Holy Shrine unveils Imam Redha Gate after renovation works
The Secretariat- General of Imam Ali Holy Shrine has reopened the Imam Reza Gtae, which is located on the eastern side of the holy shrine, after works of restoration and gilding were completed based on the architecture of the holy shrine.
The correspondent of Shia Waves Agency in the city of Najaf said, “In conjunction with the 100th anniversary of the demolition of the graves of the Imams of al-Baqi (peace be upon them), Imam Ali Holy Shrine reopened the Gate of Imam al-Ridha, peace be upon him, known historically as (the Gate of the Clock) located on the eastern side of the shrine, indicating that the gate represents the main entrance to the holy shrine.
He added that official, public, religious, academic and other community members attended the opening ceremony, as the organizers begun their activities by Quran recitation and then followed by a word by Dr. Abd al-Hadi al-Ibrahimi, a member of the Board of Directors of the Holy Shrine. Who also elaborated on the Gate reconstruction project.
Prior to the unveiling process, a documentary was presented to the attendees, showing the stages of the restoration works.
