UK Mosque hosts over 400 guests in Iftar gathering
Over 400 guests from across York joined the York Mosque in breaking their fast during Ramadan.
The mosque welcomed the guests to have Iftar and learn about their faith, including local MP Rachael Maskell, members of the City of York Council, and North Yorkshire Police.
The event, known as Unity Iftar, is aimed at building good relationships with the local community and was the second of its kind, following last year’s successful gathering of around 100 guests.
The initiative is a reflection of the mosque’s commitment to promoting unity and understanding among people of different faiths and backgrounds.
