Iraqi researchers and activists emphasized the importance of exposing the heinous crimes committed by the previous ruling regime and terrorist groups, especially crimes related to mass graves to prove to the world the brutality Iraqis faced.
The activists called on government officials to compensate the families of the martyrs and victims for the loss and pain they have endured.
It is worth mentioning that these calls were made during a symposium held by the Iraqi Center for Documenting Crimes of Extremism, affiliated to Al-Abbas Holy Shrine.
