Female researchers and academics participate in ‘Kawthar al-Isma International Festival’ held in Karbala
A group of religious, academic and elite personalities from (23) countries are hosted by Imam Hussein Holy Shrine to participate in the activities of the “Kawthar al-Isma International Festival’ in its second edition, with active participation by female researchers from various Arab and foreign countries.
One of the participating researchers, Dr. Awatif Abdel-Hamid, from the Republic of Sudan, said in her interview with the official website of the Holy Shrine, “My research, which I presented at the festival, dealt with the role of Lady Fatima Al-Zahra (peace be upon her), as a role model that women in the whole world should follow.”
Dr. Ruqayyah Shibli, Director of the Orphan Foundation of Sayyida Zainab (peace be upon her) from Syria said, “The birth days of the Lady of the Worlds, Fatima Al-Zahra (peace be upon her), are the greatest days for a Muslim woman.”
In a related context, Professor Alex, from France, specialized in Islamic affairs, indicated that her presence in the shrine of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) makes her feel proud and strong, and that whoever visits Imam Hussein will find it difficult to leave due to his holiness and spirituality.
Alex added that humanity is the true religion, and this is what is observed in the service activities provided by the religious authority and Islamic institutions.
