Dozens of Afghan women demonstrate against Taliban’s deprivation of their rights
Dozens of Afghan women demonstrated in the capital, Kabul, against the Taliban authorities’ deprivation of women’s right to work.
The Afghan TV news channel, Tolo, which reported the news, stated that the female demonstrators expressed their complaints about the continued restrictions imposed on the basic rights of Afghan women since the Taliban movement seized power in Afghanistan in August of last year.
The demonstrators emphasized that concern for the situation of Afghan women is not limited to the concern of Afghans at home, but that there is a feeling of concern on a global level about the continued deprivation of Afghan girls from education and work.
The demonstrators also urged the international community and the United Nations to continue paying attention to the situation of Afghan women and to continue making efforts to save them from violating their rights.
