Report: 2.5 million Iraqis need help, half of them children
A report by ReliefWeb revealed that there are 2.5 million Iraqis in need of aid, noting that the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) plan for this year, which is dedicated to humanitarian cases in the country, suffers from a deficit of 78%.
The report added that Iraq still has 2.5 million people, including 1.1 million children, in need of humanitarian assistance.
It noted that UNICEF needs $52.2 million to meet the critical and acute humanitarian needs of children at risk and families affected by a range of humanitarian situations.
