Construction of the largest religious school in East Africa to serve the Shias of the Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them)

The Sayyed al-Shuhada International Committee, which is affiliated with the Shirazi Religious Authority in Kuwait, announced the completion of the construction works of the largest religious school in East Africa to serve the Shias of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them.

The Committee stated, in a statement received by Shia Waves News Agency, that the school was blessed with the name of the Commander of the Faithful, Ali bin Abi Talib, peace be upon him, and will accommodate thousands of students of religious sciences.

It added that the work comes within the humanitarian projects and ongoing charitable activities of the Sayyed al-Shuhada International Committee in the African continent, and in accordance with the recommendations of the Supreme Religious Authority, Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Sadiq Al-Husseini Al-Shirazi, regarding the importance of disseminating religious teachings.

The Imam Ali Religious School was constructed on an area of ​​30,000 square meters in Tanzania, and is the first of its kind in East Africa.

The Committee confirmed that the school will start its religious classes and activities next year (2023).
