Lebanon: Mourning procession towards the Shrine of Lady Khawla to commemorate the Arbaeen
Crowds of mourners in Lebanon held a mourning march on the Arbaeen anniversary of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) at the shrine of Lady Khawla, daughter of Imam Hussein (peace be upon them) in the city of Baalbek in the Bekaa region, northeast of Beirut.
Service Mawkibs lined up along the roads leading to the Holy Shrine, to receive pilgrims and provide them with the necessary services.
Due to the stifling economic crisis experienced by the Lebanese people, many were prevented from performing the Arbaeen pilgrimage this year in the holy city of Karbala.
According to video clips monitored by Shia Waves News Agency, mourners set out in a mourning march on foot for long distances, to the Holy Shrine, which prepared special activities and programs to commemorate the painful occasion.
For ten days, the Lady Khawla Holy Shrine witnessed the establishment of mourning ceremonies to commemorate the Arbaeen anniversary of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).
The Lebanese expressed their great sympathy on the Arbaeen of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), while stressing following his great principles and supporting his humanitarian cause.
A group of Lebanese people participated in the ceremony commemorating the Arbaeen pilgrimage in the holy city of Karbala, where they went out with their unified mourning procession on the eve of the immortal Arbaeen day.
