Grand Ayatollah al-Najafi participates in the Arbaeen Walk towards holy Karbala

The religious authority, His Eminence, Grand Ayatollah Sheikh Bashir al-Najafi, joined the millions of pilgrims walking towards the holy city of Karbala to commemorate the Arbaeen.

This comes within the Grand Ayatollah’s annual habit of joining the believers in the honor of walking to the Master of Martyrs, peace be upon him, and guiding the believers to establish this sacred ritual.

His Eminence stressed the great importance of this holy pilgrimage and its high religious position, saying: “God has honored you by visiting Imam Hussein (peace be upon him). This honor is honored by even the prophets and messengers from Adam to the Messenger of God (peace be upon them all), as it was mentioned in the reputable books ‘that the prophets come delegation after delegation to visit the grave of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), rather the prophets and messengers all come asking God’s permission to leave Paradise and visit the grave of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).

His Eminence blesses the believers and the service to Imam Hussain, which God has sent as a mercy to the believers in order to obtain the relationship of kinship with God Almighty, saying, “You are the visitors of Hussain and serve of visitors of Hussain (peace be upon him). You have achieved this honor and I hope that your deeds are pleasing to God, His Messenger, Fatima al-Zahra, the Imams and Imam Mahdi (may Allah hasten his reappearance).”
