Security and service preparations for mourning ceremonies of Ashura in Holy Karbala

Imam Hussein Holy Shrine has mobilized all efforts to secure the Ashura ceremonies and prepare all the requirements for the mournful month of Muharram, revealing the participation of more than 5,000 volunteers to contribute to the implementation of the security plan.

The Secretary-General of the Holy Shrine indicated that the administration of the Holy Shrine mobilized all efforts to prepare all requirements for the holy month of Muharram to provide the best services for pilgrims participating in the commemoration of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him.

The head of the security department at Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, holy shrine said: “Modern equipment, in addition to detection devices, drones, and over 1,400 cameras will be operatee in the security plan.”

It is noteworthy that Karbala witnesses, during the first ten days of the sacred month of Muharram, large numbers of mourners from inside and outside Iraq to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him.
