Kashmir region covered in black to mourn the martyrs of Karbala
The Kashmir Observer newspaper published a photo report in which it sheds light on the signs of sadness that prevailed throughout the region of Kashmir on the occasion of the holy month of Muharram.
The newspaper said in its report, titled “In Pictures: Arrival of Muharram”, that “the region of Kashmir was covered black at the beginning of the sacred month of Muharram to mourn the massacre of the noble family of the Prophet (peace be upon them) in the deserts of Karbala.”
The report included stunning photographs that showed how the Kashmiri believers hold the Husseini mourning processions, in which large numbers of people participate in the ceremonies, including women and children, in scenes that added beauty to the region, which is famous for its beautiful terrain and natural features.
