The Iranian government threatens Grand Ayatollah Shirazi: ‘’Do not complain nor criticize the regime in your speech!’’

Yesterday, the Grand Ayatollah Shirazi received a threatening message sent by the Iranian supreme leader and high-ranking authorities through Ayatollah Sayed Javad Alavi Borojerdi ordering him not to criticize and stop complaining about the Iranian government.

Below is the text of the message:

I have received a message from the high-ranking authorities which says, we don’t have any problem with you being a Marja’ nor by you giving salary to the students, but due to the sensitivity of the situation, keep talking about preaching only and do not criticize the regime and the leader in your speech tonight.
