Iraq: Arrest of 7 wanted terrorists, including one of the perpetrators of the Speicher massacre in Baghdad
The Baghdad Operations Command in Iraq announced the arrest of seven wanted terrorists according to various legal articles and the seizure of weapons and narcotics, while noting that among the arrested was one of the perpetrators of the Speicher crime.
The command stated in a statement, “To enhance security and stability in all areas of the capital, Baghdad, and intensify search and inspection operations, and follow-up on the movements of terrorist elements, a force from the Commandos Brigade and the Baghdad Operations Command began to carry out a search operation in Naji Daoud’s orchard in the Al-Naba’i area, north of Baghdad, to eliminate the remaining terrorist elements there.”
In a related context, “a force from the 11th Infantry Division’s Reconnaissance Battalion was able to arrest one of the dangerous terrorist elements involved in the Speicher crime after monitoring his movements and checking his name in the database of those wanted by the judiciary.”
