The International Organization for Migration of the United Nations has recorded the displacement of more than 6,700 cases of displacement in the Yemeni governorate of Ma’rib, since the beginning of this month.
According to the organization, more than 500 people requested urgent assistance in 34 displacement sites in Ma’rib.
Last month, the organization registered nearly 10,000 people in Ma’rib, following the escalation of hostilities in the governorate.
Nearly 170,000 people have been displaced to the city of Ma’rib several times since January 2020, and a third of them have fled since the beginning of 2021.
