Many Shias flocked from several US states and from long distances to the city of Detroit, Michigan, to participate in the commemoration of the Arbaeen ceremonies of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him.
The participants carried Husseini banners and slogans that recall the immortal Battle of al-Taff over the generations.
Men, women and children walked many miles, chanting poems in honor of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, while dozens of service tents were spread on both sides of the road, providing medical and logistical services to the mourners.
A large number of English-speaking youths set out to explain the Husseini revolution to the passersby and other communities who gathered on both sides of the march.
