At least three people were killed and three others were wounded in a bomb explosion, which was planted on the side of a highway in Herat province, western Afghanistan, last night, according to the Afghan Khama Press Agency.
The Herat provincial police spokesman, Abdul Ahad Wali Zadeh, told the media that the accident occurred when a civilian vehicle was passing near an Afghan National Army convoy, which led to the explosion of the mine.
Wali Zadeh added that three people were killed and three others were wounded.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
