The director of the museum, Dr. Alaa Ziauddin, said that the determination of the course of the river will be through a research study prepared by the University of Durham and under the supervision of Dr. “Michelle de Corgi,” a specialist in archeology, who came to the city of Karbala to find and search for ancient relics through which to determine the course of the river .
Ziauddin explained that the river’s course is expected to reach 600 kilometers and reach southern Iraq, pointing out that the study will be through the detection of soil at deep depths from the surface of the earth and the use of scientific laboratories to analyze the original soil.
