Arbaeen supplication investigated in Karbala conference
The holy city of Karbala has hosted an international forum titled “Arbaeen Supplication; Themes and Implications” on October 14.

According to the website of the Imam Hussein holy shrine, the program has been planned by “Karbala” Research Center affiliated to theholy shrine.
The center has invited researchers, scholars and intellectuals to participate in the international event.
It has announced that the forum will begin at 9 a.m. local time at “Seyyed Al-Awsiya” conference hall of Imam Hussein holy shrine in Karbala.
Arbaeen marks the 40th day after Ashura, the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS) and his faithful companions in the 680AD Battle of Karbala.
Every year, a huge crowd of Muslims, especially Shias march toward Karbala, where the holy shrine of Imam Hussein (AS) is located, to perform mourning rituals.
