Quran exhibition opens in Qatif
A Quran exhibition has opened in the province of Qatif, Saudi Arabia.
Launched on Monday, October 13, it displays various copies of the Holy Book including one weighing 10 kilograms, another being 8 meters long and another copy dating back to 722 years ago.
According to the director of the expo, it also features translations of the Quran in different languages, Quran copies in Braille for the visually-impaired, as well as Quranic artworks and historical items and pieces of jewelry on which Quranic verses have been inscribed.
He said the expo also has a special section in which visitors learn about how old copies of the Quran are repaired and protected.
