Sheikh Bashir al-Najafi says Husseini rituals led to doubling the number of Shias in Pakistan

The Grand Ayatollah Sheikh Bashir al-Najafi met a number of Ahlul-Bayt followers in his office in the holy city of Najaf to discuss the issue of Husseini rituals and their positive effect in doubling the number of Shias around the world.

His Eminence slammed the attempts of certain individuals who try to impose a fixed style of Husseini rituals under different pretexts, affirming that practicing the various types of Husseini rituals led to doubling the number of Shias in Pakistan.

His Eminence further added that people have their own way in expressing their joy or grief, stressing the necessity of expressing our grief in special way, as long as this way of expressing grief doesn’t contradict with any divine ruling.
