New Islamic Center Opens in East Syracuse After Years of Community Effort

The Muslim community in East Syracuse, New York, has inaugurated a new Islamic center following years of planning, fundraising and construction supported by local residents and donors from across the United States.

The East Syracuse Islamic Center will provide spaces for daily prayers, religious education, cultural programs and community activities, serving the growing needs of Muslim families in the area.

The community acquired the site about a decade ago and subsequently worked to develop the property and establish the center, relying largely on donations and volunteer efforts.
