Lebanon’s Ministry of Public Health said the death toll from Israeli attacks on the country since October 2023 has reached 8,953 people, with 30,643 others wounded.

According to the ministry’s Health Emergency Operations Center, the latest figures include casualties recorded between March 2 and September 17, 2026, during which 4,386 people were martyred and 12,407 injured.

The ministry reported that Israeli strikes have continued in several Lebanese areas, particularly in the south, where security tensions and air raids have persisted despite efforts to maintain a ceasefire and prevent further escalation.

Earlier in September, Lebanese health authorities said Israeli attacks in Nabatieh district martyred 28 people and injured 69 others, including civilians and medical personnel, while reporting damage to healthcare facilities.

The rising casualty figures reflect the continuing humanitarian impact of the conflict, with concerns growing over civilian safety, infrastructure damage, and pressure on essential services in affected areas.
