Multilingual Centers Launched to Support Foreign Arbaeen Pilgrims in Karbala

The Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) has launched, for the second consecutive year, a dedicated program to support foreign pilgrims participating in the Arbaeen pilgrimage, aiming to facilitate their stay in Karbala and provide them with necessary guidance and services.

As part of the initiative, specialized multilingual centers have been established at several locations across the holy city to assist visitors arriving from different countries. The centers provide translation and guidance services in several languages, including French, English, German, Persian, and Urdu.

The support teams offer pilgrims information about holy sites, pilgrimage routes, and the rituals of Ziyarat, while also responding to their religious and cultural inquiries.

The head of the International Relations Department at the shrine’s Media and Communications Division said the initiative was introduced in response to the continued increase in the number of international pilgrims attending Arbaeen. The project is being implemented in cooperation with the College of Arts at the University of Baghdad.

The program also includes a religious guidance section, where preachers and scholars from the Najaf religious seminary communicate with visitors in their native languages, addressing questions related to faith, Islamic culture, and religious values.

According to the Holy Shrine, the initiative seeks to strengthen the international character of the Arbaeen pilgrimage, encourage cultural exchange among nations, and promote the universal message of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).
