The Imam Hussein Holy Shrine Administration has completed the construction of shade structures around the shrine’s courtyard as part of efforts to improve conditions for Arbaeen pilgrims and reduce the impact of high summer temperatures.

According to the shrine’s media department, the project was implemented to provide a cooler environment and facilitate the movement and worship of millions of pilgrims visiting Karbala during the Arbaeen pilgrimage.

The newly completed shade installations are intended to enhance visitor comfort during the pilgrimage season, particularly amid the intense heat experienced in Iraq during the summer months. The initiative forms part of broader preparations by the holy shrine to support the large numbers of pilgrims arriving from Iraq and around the world.
