Organizing and coordinating media activities during major pilgrimage events plays a key role in conveying the spiritual and global message of Ashura to audiences around the world, officials said.
According to the al-Abbas Holy Shrine, a coordination meeting of the Media Follow-up Committee was held at the Karbala Police Command headquarters, attended by representatives from the Information and Communications Authority, Karbala Police Command, the provincial public relations department, and representatives of the Holy Shrines of Imam Hussein and al-Abbas (peace be upon them).
The meeting focused on practical measures to create suitable conditions for improved media coverage, as well as facilitating the movement and work of local and international journalists covering the Arbaeen pilgrimage.
Participants reviewed mechanisms to support media teams, enhance coordination among relevant institutions, and ensure effective coverage of the millions of pilgrims arriving in Karbala to commemorate Arbaeen.
At the conclusion of the meeting, attendees stressed the importance of continued cooperation and adopting practical measures to provide better services for media professionals and highlight the large-scale participation of pilgrims in the Arbaeen rituals.
