Iran’s Ministry of Interior announced that more than 1.3 million people have registered through the “Samah” system to participate in the Arba’een pilgrimage of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), confirming that security and service preparations have been completed to facilitate pilgrims’ travel to Iraq.

The ministry’s spokesperson said all arrangements related to services, security plans and the organization of pilgrims’ movement are ready, adding that coordination and cooperation with neighboring countries are continuing to ensure smooth travel during the Arba’een season.

The preparations coincide with Iraq’s measures to support the successful organization of the pilgrimage, including allocating 52.5 billion Iraqi dinars for service plans, renting 2,400 buses and deploying government vehicles to transport pilgrims, particularly during the return phase.

Iraq’s Arba’een security plan officially entered into force on July 20, alongside the beginning of preparations by Hussaini service processions along routes leading to the holy city of Karbala. The measures are part of wider efforts to receive millions of pilgrims arriving from inside Iraq and abroad for the annual religious gathering.
