Followers of Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them), activists and some human rights groups have renewed calls for the reconstruction of Jannat al-Baqi Cemetery in Medina, coinciding with the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Hassan al-Mujtaba (peace be upon him).

Campaigns across media platforms and social networks have called for the restoration of the graves of the Imams of al-Baqi, particularly the resting place of Imam Hassan al-Mujtaba (peace be upon him), describing them as important Islamic landmarks and part of the religious and historical heritage of the Muslim world.

Participants in the campaigns said that the condition of the graves of the Imams of al-Baqi remains a major concern for followers of Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them). They called for their reconstruction in a manner reflecting the status of those buried there and for Muslims to have the opportunity to visit these sites and preserve their religious and cultural legacy.

The groups involved also appealed to Islamic institutions and organizations concerned with religious and cultural heritage to support efforts aimed at rebuilding the graves of the Imams of al-Baqi, emphasizing that the issue continues to be a longstanding demand among many Muslims worldwide.
