Lucknow Friday Sermon Highlights Importance of Hussaini Mourning, Calls for Vigilance to Protect Religious Gatherings

Hojjat al-Islam Sayyid Reza Haider Zaidi, head of the Ghufran Ma’ab Seminary, emphasized the central role of mourning ceremonies for Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) in preserving the teachings of Islam during his Friday sermon at the Shahi Asafi Mosque in Lucknow, India.

According to Shia Waves Agency, Zaidi said that commemorating the martyrdom of Imam Hussein represents a cornerstone of preserving the faith of the Holy Prophet and safeguarding Islamic religious traditions. Referring to the events of Ashura and verses from Surah Al-Ahzab, he described Hussaini mourning as a source of spiritual awakening and steadfastness in the face of injustice.

Addressing recent suspicious incidents, Zaidi also urged young people to remain vigilant and called for the formation of organized volunteer groups to help ensure the safety and security of Hussaini mourning gatherings.
