Amid Religious Events, Millions of Shia Muslims Worldwide Commemorate Great Day of Mubahala

Followers of the Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, in Iraq and around the world are commemorating the great occasion of the Day of Mubahala, which fell on the 24th of Dhu al-Hijjah. Speaking to Shia News Agency, believers described the day as one of blessing and guidance for all humanity.

Large crowds of Shia believers in Iraq, Iran and Syria headed to the holy shrines of the Imams of the Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, to renew their pledge of adherence to their noble path on this blessed day.

Mosques, Hussainiyas and Shia centers around the world also held various events to mark the occasion, recalling the day when the Holy Prophet, peace be upon him and his pure family, came to Mubahala with the Christians of Najran, accompanied by his Ahlulbayt, the People of the Cloak, peace be upon them, and was granted victory.

Shia Muslims worldwide regard the Day of Mubahala as a radiant day that manifests the spiritual status of the Holy Prophet and the purified Imams, peace be upon them, and as a historic moment in which the word of Allah prevailed and Islam was vindicated.

They said the event reflects the greatness of the Muhammadan message and the elevated rank of those chosen by Allah Almighty to guide humanity.

The blessed event of Mubahala took place on the 24th of Dhu al-Hijjah in the tenth year after the Hijra.
