Grand Ayatollah Shirazi to Deliver Annual Address to Religious Preachers Ahead of Muharram
Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, may his shadow endure, is set to deliver his annual address to male and female religious preachers ahead of the arrival of the holy month of Muharram for the year 1448 AH.
According to an announcement published on the official website of his office and followed by Shia Waves Agency, the address will be delivered on Sunday evening, the 28th of Dhu al-Hijjah, corresponding to June 14, 2026, at his honorable residence in the holy city of Qom.
A group of religious preachers is expected to attend the gathering to listen to his guidance and recommendations regarding the revival of Hussaini mourning ceremonies and the dissemination of the teachings of Imam Hussein’s movement during the season of Muhammadan grief.
Grand Ayatollah Shirazi delivers this address annually to religious preachers, aiming to guide them on the importance of their role in introducing the oppression faced by Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, and explaining the humanitarian and faith-based principles embodied in his blessed uprising.
His Eminence also emphasizes the need to exert all necessary efforts during the Muharram season, given the major responsibility of preachers in conveying the message of Ashura to different societies and strengthening Hussaini values in public awareness.
The Imam Hussein Media Group has announced its readiness to broadcast Grand Ayatollah Shirazi’s address live through its Arabic, English, Turkish, Urdu, and Persian channels, as well as through several independent Shia satellite channels.
