The shrine of the Master of Martyrs, Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), in the holy city of Karbala was adorned with natural flower wreaths in celebration of Eid Allah al-Akbar, Eid al-Ghadeer al-Aghar, amid an atmosphere of faith, joy, and ongoing preparations to mark this blessed occasion, which holds great doctrinal and spiritual significance for believers.
The holy shrine witnessed extensive decoration works covering the blessed shrine, the corridors, and the inner area of the Hussaini courtyard. The shrine was decorated with various types of natural flowers in bright colors and artistic arrangements, creating a scene that reflected the sanctity of the occasion and added an atmosphere of joy and spirituality to the holy site.
These preparations come ahead of Eid al-Ghadeer al-Aghar, which Muslims commemorate as a religious occasion embodying the meanings of Wilayah and adherence to the path of the Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him). Worship, cultural, and service programs have also been prepared to receive visitors arriving from inside and outside Iraq.
The corridors of the holy Hussaini Shrine also witnessed the arrival of large numbers of visitors who were keen to visit the sacred shrine and take part in the spiritual atmosphere preceding the blessed occasion. Meanwhile, service and technical teams continue their efforts to complete the various preparations for receiving the expected crowds during the days of Eid.
The preparations include arranging spaces for visitors, strengthening organizational and guidance services, and holding various religious and cultural activities that highlight the importance of Eid al-Ghadeer and its religious and humanitarian values linked to unity, justice, and loyalty.
Eid al-Ghadeer al-Aghar is one of the most prominent religious occasions observed annually in the holy city of Karbala, during which the holy shrines are decorated and special celebrations and programs are held to commemorate this blessed anniversary, which holds a special place in the hearts of believers.
