Grand Ayatollah Shirazi: Culture of True Islam Is Among Humanity’s Most Important Needs

Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi has emphasized that culture is one of the most essential needs of individuals and nations, calling on believers to learn and spread the culture of authentic Islam worldwide.

His Eminence said the Holy Prophet, peace be upon him and his pure family, brought a new culture while affirming and respecting the previous divine messages brought by earlier prophets.

Grand Ayatollah Shirazi explained that the culture introduced by the Prophet is the culture of true Islam, represented by the Islam of the Messenger of Allah and his pure progeny, peace be upon them. He said this culture offers a complete vision for life in all fields.

He urged believing men and women to deepen their understanding of this culture and work to introduce it to different societies, stressing that much of the world still does not know the teachings of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, and the original principles of Islam.

He noted that global understanding of Islam is often limited to certain rituals and acts of worship, such as prayer, fasting, and Hajj, while Islam’s civilizational and intellectual dimensions related to knowledge, economics, politics, and other areas of life remain unfamiliar to many people.

Grand Ayatollah Shirazi stressed the importance of presenting the true message of Islam, based on knowledge, awareness, and justice, and said spreading this culture can help build societies with a better understanding of authentic Islam of Muhammad and Ale Muhammad, peace be upon them.
