The Misbah al-Hussein Foundation for Relief and Development has implemented a sacrificial meat distribution project in Niger as part of a humanitarian initiative aimed at reviving the tradition of Qurbani and delivering meat to needy and low-income families during Eid al-Adha.
The foundation said the project was carried out under the direct patronage of the office of Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi. It forms part of the foundation’s annual efforts to facilitate the Qurbani process for believers while ensuring that slaughtering and distribution are conducted according to Islamic legal requirements and health standards.
According to the foundation, the initiative helped strengthen social solidarity in Niger and brought joy to poor and disadvantaged families during the Eid holiday. Hundreds of families were able to share in the atmosphere of Eid al-Adha and receive sacrificial meat.
The project included collecting donations, purchasing animals that met Islamic requirements, preparing slaughter sites, cutting the meat, and distributing it to eligible families in cooperation with local partners.
The Misbah al-Hussein Foundation thanked all donors and supporters who contributed to the success of the project, stressing the message that the reward belongs to those who offer the sacrifice and the joy belongs to those in need.
The foundation continues to carry out relief and humanitarian projects in several countries, guided by its mission to serve Islam and humanity, promote social solidarity, and support poor and needy communities around the world.
