Austria-based Islamic Center Holds Quran Contest

The Islamic Center of Vienna in the capital of Austria hosted the annual Quran competition as part of “Iqra” the Quranic program, IQNA reported.
It took place with the broad participation of children, teenagers and adults from the center’s various educational programs, according to the news site Muslimsaroundtheworld.
The event was held in an atmosphere of faith and aimed at connecting generations of Muslims in Europe with the Quran through memorization, recitation and understanding of the Holy Book.
The competition witnessed the participation of a large number of members of the educational programs of the Islamic Center of Vienna, including children, teenagers and adults, which indicates the widening interest in Quran education in the local Muslim community.
At the end of the competition, all participants were awarded certificates of appreciation in recognition of their efforts, and the first three winners received cash prizes.
