Senior Shia cleric Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi has renewed his call for conveying the message of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) to people around the world by making effective use of modern technologies.

In brief remarks published on the official website of his office on the occasion of the birth anniversaries of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), his brother Abal Fadl al-Abbas, Imam Zayn al-Abidin, and Ali al-Akbar (peace be upon them), Grand Ayatollah Shirazi stressed the need to expand the use of contemporary technological tools to disseminate Imam Hussein’s (peace be upon him) goals and teachings.

He said modern technology should be utilized more than ever to spread these values through books, newspapers, films, theatrical productions, satellite television channels, and the internet, as well as any other means that can honestly and ethically convey Imam Hussein’s (peace be upon him) message to all people.

Grand Ayatollah Shirazi emphasized that promoting the culture and teachings of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) is a major responsibility that requires leveraging all forms of modern technology. He noted that the cause of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) embodies profound human and moral dimensions that transcend time and place.

His Eminence has repeatedly underscored the importance of keeping pace with technological developments and employing them in the service of religious and humanitarian causes, stating that Imam Hussein’s (peace be upon him) message of justice, freedom, and peace remains deeply relevant to humanity today.
