The Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) in Karbala is undergoing a major development project aimed at increasing its capacity to accommodate over one million pilgrims.

According to Shia Waves Agency, the expansion includes the construction of four main courtyards featuring prayer halls, service areas, and organized facilities to manage the flow of visitors efficiently.

Officials said the project is designed to enhance infrastructure, improve services for pilgrims, and effectively manage the large crowds that attend the annual major religious gatherings.
