Grand Ayatollah Sayed Shirazi stresses the necessity of following principles of Imam Ali, peace be upon him, to protect the rights of civilians

The Eminent Grand Ayatollah Sayed Sadiq Husseini Shirazi, may Allah prolong his life, stressed the necessity of staging protests as it is part of the elements of freedom adopted by Islam, adding that governments should be committed in protecting such protests these days.

His Eminence pointed out that people during the reign of Imam Ali, peace be upon him, were able to hold demonstrations against the Imam, peace be upon him, when he was the legitimate leader chosen by Allah Almighty and assigned by the Holy Prophet, peace be upon him and his progeny, even when those people who held such demonstrations were very few in number of the Kufa community.

Grand Ayatollah Sayed Shirazi stressed the importance of raising up the Iraqi youth on the principles and culture of Imam Ali, peace be upon him, not only on his love and loyalty.
