Large Turnout of Pilgrims in Najaf for Anniversary of Prophet’s Mab’ath

Large numbers of pilgrims gathered in the holy city of Najaf to mark the anniversary of the Mab‘ath (Start of the Prophetic Mission) of the Messenger of God, Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family).
On the occasion, the Najaf Police Command announced the launch of a special security and service plan for the pilgrimage marking the blessed day. According to the Iraqi News Agency, Najaf police spokesperson Mufeed Salem al-Tahir said the plan is being implemented through a high-level coordination and organization mechanism managed by a joint operations room, with the participation of the Imam Ali Holy Shrine administration, as well as security and intelligence agencies.
Al-Tahir added that roads and access routes for pilgrims have been kept open and organized to ensure smooth movement without congestion or closures.
According to reports seen by Shia Waves Agency, large numbers of domestic and foreign pilgrims were present at the holy shrine of Imam Ali, the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him), to honor and commemorate the occasion of the Prophet’s mission.
Pilgrims emphasized the teachings of the Prophet of God (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) and the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), underlining the importance of presenting the true and authentic message of Islam, the prophetic message of mercy and justice, and calls for peace and tolerance to the world.
The pilgrims also paid attention to the guidance of the senior religious authority, Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq Hosseini Shirazi, regarding adherence to the teachings of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) and the advancement of Islamic society, viewing them as guidance for personal and social life on this blessed occasion and beyond.
