Official Figures for Rajab Pilgrimage 1447 Reveal Over 15 Million Pilgrims in Kadhimiya

The spiritual ceremonies of the Rajab pilgrimage in the year 1447 AH were held with the participation of more than 15 million pilgrims at the holy shrine of Imam Musa al-Kadhim (peace be upon him) in Kadhimiya.

The Kadhimiya Holy Shrine Authority announced that the large-scale pilgrimage was conducted with full success in terms of security, medical services, and media coverage, with extensive services provided to pilgrims.

According to official statements from the shrine authority, the Rajab pilgrimage of 1447 AH witnessed the presence of millions of visitors from across Iraq as well as from several other countries. The Shia Waves Agency reported that more than 15 million people visited the shrines of the two Imams of Kadhimiya (peace be upon them) and the surrounding routes during this period.

To ensure the comfort of pilgrims, more than 5,600 service processions (mawakib), including volunteer groups and male and female servants of the holy shrine, were deployed to provide accommodation, food, and hygiene services.

On the medical front, more than 86,000 medical consultations were recorded. Health centers set up for the pilgrimage period provided necessary treatment and comprehensive healthcare services to safeguard pilgrims’ well-being.

In addition, 281 buses operated 1,632 trips to transport pilgrims along various routes, helping to ease congestion and ensure smooth and organized movement.

In terms of media coverage, 320 media professionals, including journalists and cameramen, were present in Kadhimiya. The event was broadcast widely through 45 satellite channels and media institutions, ensuring broad domestic and international coverage.

The Kadhimiya Holy Shrine Authority expressed its appreciation to security forces, volunteers, shrine servants, and media personnel, stating that the special service and security plans for the Rajab pilgrimage were implemented successfully without any incidents.

The large turnout of pilgrims, combined with extensive services and effective coverage, made the Rajab pilgrimage of 1447 AH one of the largest and most significant religious gatherings in the world, highlighting the vital role of organized services in ensuring pilgrims’ safety and comfort.
