Italian Priest Expresses Hope for Intercession of Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon her)

An Italian Catholic priest and academic, Professor Christopher Clohessy, has commented on the concept of intercession by Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon her) in a recently circulated video.

According to Shia Waves Agency, Clohessy said he had heard narrations within Shi’a tradition describing Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon her) as interceding on the Day of Judgment “like a bird picking up grain,” gathering her followers and those who love her and leading them toward paradise.

“I have heard that Lady Fatima, peace be upon her, will intercede for the Shi‘a and for those who love her, and will carry them to paradise,” he said. “I also hope that her intercession will include me.”

Clohessy, a Catholic priest known for his academic work on Shi’a religious figures, has authored several studies on Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon her), Lady Zainab (peace be upon her) and other personalities in early Islamic history.
