Freemuslim Association Urges Calm and Inclusive Dialogue in Morocco
………………
The Global Nonviolence Organization (Freemuslim Association) has called for restraint and national dialogue in Morocco amid ongoing unrest, urging all parties to reject violence and pursue peaceful solutions. In a statement received by Shia Waves Agency, the organization emphasized that constructive dialogue and nonviolent engagement are the only viable means to resolve disputes and achieve justice and stability.
The group reaffirmed citizens’ right to peaceful protest and freedom of expression, as guaranteed by Morocco’s constitution and international conventions. It condemned all acts of violence or damage to property, regardless of their source, and called on authorities to protect demonstrators’ safety, refrain from excessive force, and conduct transparent investigations into any violations.
The organization stressed that the growing tensions reflect legitimate social and economic grievances that require genuine government attention. It urged Moroccan authorities to implement comprehensive political, economic, and social reforms aimed at promoting justice, combating corruption, and improving living conditions.
Warning against repression or ignoring public demands, the statement underscored that such actions only deepen mistrust and instability. The organization concluded by urging calm, accountability, and an inclusive national dialogue as the foundation for Morocco’s unity and long-term stability.
