Israeli air raids struck Yemen’s capital, Sanaa, in one of the heaviest attacks in years, leaving at least nine people dead and more than 170 wounded, according to preliminary figures. The strikes followed a drone attack claimed by the Houthis on Israel’s southern city of Eilat. Israeli media reported that around 20 aircraft launched 65 missiles targeting multiple sites across the city.

The bombardment caused severe destruction, damaging a power station, several neighborhoods, and numerous buildings.
