WHO Reports Decline in Ebola Cases in DR Congo

The World Health Organization (WHO) confirmed 11 new Ebola cases in the Democratic Republic of Congo since its last update on September 15, US News reported. The agency said the outbreak in Kasai Province shows a downward trend in recent weeks.

As of September 21, health authorities had documented 57 cases, including 10 classified as probable, along with 35 deaths, of which 10 were considered probable. Despite the decline, WHO emphasized that close monitoring and response efforts remain essential to contain the outbreak and prevent further spread in the affected region.
