According to a news report from Anadolu Agency, Google services were restored on Thursday, September 4, after a region-wide outage caused disruptions for millions of users across dozens of countries. The report detailed hour-long outages affecting popular platforms such as YouTube, Gmail, and Google Maps.

The monitoring site DownDetector reported a surge of outage reports beginning around 10 a.m. local time (0700GMT), with users unable to access various Google services, including Chrome and Google Translate. The disruption lasted for approximately one hour before services began to ease around 0800GMT.

The outage tracking website Outage Report cited that the disruption affected Türkiye, Bulgaria, Greece, Georgia, Croatia, Serbia, Armenia, Romania, the Netherlands, Germany, and 38 other countries. The report also mentioned that some users experienced problems accessing Spotify during the same time frame.

As of the report, Google had not yet released an official comment on the cause of the disruption.
