Madagascar City Hosts Largest Arbaeen Walk
………………..
The city of Majunga in Madagascar witnessed its largest Arbaeen walk on Saturday, marking the 40th day after the martyrdom of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him. The event was organized by the office of Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi.
According to Sheikh Mohammed Radi Wessram, the annual procession began at the Ahlulbayt Center and proceeded toward the Shirazi office, covering nearly six kilometers through the city and reaching the international airport. More than 500 participants, including men, women, and youth, joined the march.
The walk featured various activities such as food and water distribution, handing out scarves and clothing marked with the Arbaeen emblem, and carrying over 150 flags bearing the message “Hussein Unites Us.”
A mourning gathering was also held in the Behoro area, followed by another at the Shirazi office where the march concluded. Organizers described the walk as an expression of unity and a means to highlight the values of sacrifice and justice in Karbala.
