“Allameh Wahid Behbahani” was organized by the General Secretariat of the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine in the holy city of Karbala
An international congress on “Allameh Wahid Behbahani” was organized by the General Secretariat of the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine in the holy city of Karbala.
According to reports, intellectuals and religious figures from more than 20 countries participated in the program.
More than 120 papers on the Seerah of Allamah Behbahani were submitted to the congress and 15 books on the life and works of the scholar were unveiled on the first day of the program.
The organizers of the congress succeeded to add the papers and books of the congress to the UNESCO’s Memory of the World Register.
Muhammad Baqir ibn Muhammad Akmal al-Wahid Bihbahani, also Vahid Behbahani (1706–1791), was a Twelver Shia Islamic scholar. He was born in Isfahan, passed away in Karbala and was buried near the holy shrine of Imam Hussein
