Holy Karbala Opens Media Center to Support Arbaeen Coverage

Karbala’s Department of Media and Government Communication has launched a dedicated media center to cover the annual Arbaeen pilgrimage, aiming to provide full support to local and international journalists reporting from the city.

Department director Tawfiq Al-Habbali said the initiative follows directives from Governor Nassif Jassem Al-Khattabi. The center, located on Al-Abbas Street in central Karbala, is equipped with modern facilities and serves as a fully functional workspace for media professionals.

Al-Habbali noted that the center, established in previous years, has been well received by journalists for its logistical and professional support. Its role extends beyond event coverage to developing a unified media approach, organizing awareness campaigns, and collaborating with academic and cultural institutions to strengthen media engagement on the Arbaeen pilgrimage.

The local government has allocated resources to ensure accurate coverage of the efforts by authorities, residents, and volunteers, portraying Arbaeen as a message of peace and devotion from Karbala to the world.
